Another Walk to the Past

I took this picture walking back to the office from lunch today. The office is just right around the corner from the old bank building on our beloved downtown square.

Looks like a step back into much simpler times with the classic thunderbird. πŸš—

πŸ™ A Big Thank You to Our Community πŸ™

This past month has been really heartwarming. We received 13 new 5-star Google reviews, and so many of them said the same thing:

  • "Dr. Dao really listens."
  • "He is patient and explains everything."
  • "I felt taken care of, not rushed."

That means everything to us β€” because that's exactly the kind of care we believe in.

As many of you know, our team was voted Winner of Best of Denton 2025 in Podiatry. πŸ† But what matters to us even more than awards are the everyday moments: listening, understanding, easing pain, and helping patients feel safe and cared for.

In healthcare today, it's common to feel rushed or dismissed. We work intentionally to provide the kind of care we'd want for our own family: focused, attentive, human.

We're grateful for every patient who took time to share their experience. Your words help others find care. Your trust keeps us grounded and motivated.

Thank you for choosing us. Thank you for being part of our community. Thank you for allowing us to do the work we love. πŸ’™

We don't measure success by volume. We measure it by how heard our patients feel.

Patient Gives Us an Awesome Feast

Patient's homemade smoked pork belly burnt ends More homemade food from patient

Our elderly patients are super sweet. They usually make stuff and food for us as a token of appreciation. This one patient made smoked pork belly burnt ends and OMG it was so good our kids kept asking for more.

20 Years Memento

20 years memento badge from Cook County Hospital

Just like that, in a blink of an eye, 20 years has passed since I was a student doing my clinical clerkship at Cook County Hospital Chicago. Living in a 500 sqft studio, in the middle of downtown Chicago, where I could roll out of bed and be right in front of my stove has taught me a lot πŸ™οΈ. I like to keep this badge around to remind me how far I've progressed.

What a Reminder!

Motivational reminder from old school in Chicago

Found this hanging out on the wall at our old school in downtown Chicago before they demolished the old campus back in 2003. It has been by my side at every desk and office I've sat at as a student and now in private practice. Serves as a reminder of what it is all about. πŸ’™

Amazing Gift from a Patient!

Stippling artwork of Wrigley Field Stippling artwork close-up detail

Wow. A gift from a patient of mine through an art technique called stippling (the creation of a pattern using small dots by hand for shading). Told him I used to walk past Wrigley Field every other day when I was living up there and he wanted to create something that could remind me of itβ€”amazing! ⚾
